Welcome to Almond-Bancroft Middle School!
Hello Eagles!
My name is James Highfield, and I’m honored to serve as the Almond-Bancroft Middle School Principal. This will be my 15th year in education with 13 years as a teacher and nearly 2 years in administration. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies Education from UW–Stevens Point in 2009, and later completed my Master’s degree in Principalship and Director of Instruction from Silver Lake College in 2020.
Our incredible team of teachers and staff are dedicated to supporting the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally—while living out our core values of respect, responsibility, and resolution. In these important middle school years, we work to ensure smooth transitions from middle school to high school, all while encouraging students to challenge themselves and grow into the very best version of who they can be.
On a personal note, I’ve been married to my wife, Kelly, for 9 years, and we have four sons and my dog Marley. I’m a big fan of the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, and refereeing all kinds of sports. I’m looking forward to meeting each of you and working together to make these years a great experience for our students.
