• What Is PBIS ?

    PBIS is an acronym you will be seeing in our newsletters and other communications home.  It stands for Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports.  Sounds complicated, but it simply means that in order for our school to be an environment that best supports learning, a clear set of positively stated behavioral expectations are established and taught. Our expectations for all elementary students are:

    BE RESPECTFUL

    BE RESPONSIBLE

    SOLVE PROBLEMS

    Each teacher clearly defines what these expecations look like in his/her classroom in what is called a "matrix."  You may have seen individual classroom matrices that your child's teacher(s) have developed.
